A-KINTERO [intimate Projects Music, Ebb + Flow]

All of this amazing talent… Based out of NYC and ready to make you groove in the deep south. House/Deep House/Minimal vibes for the night.

DUPLICITY [iPM, Mainely House, A/V Club]

Born as a collaborative effort in the far northeastern US, Duplicity is a duo that is new to the NYC scene but making waves already. Both members met after moving to Maine and diving into the house music scene there, where they cut their teeth DJing both together and individually at the premier Maine venue for dance music, Flask Lounge.

As DJs, the focus of Duplicity is to provide a smooth, deep, and driving sound that enhances, not overwhelms, the atmosphere of any venue they play. Although young, their digging goes deep and you can expect to hear refreshing selections and smooth blends. Not long after partnering up as Duplicity, they began to bring music production into focus alongside DJing. An early result of this is the signing of their debut EP, Avenues, to intimate Project Music, slated for release early 2019.

IMAN RIZKY [EBB + FLOW]

Iman Rizky was bred on house beats from the early ’80s and ’90s. His relationship with dance music back then was a transcendental experience every weekend at places like New York City’s Red Zone, the Tunnel, Limelight’s Disco 2000, the Sound Factory, and the legendary Twilo. Iman became a promoter for the Tunnel, Limelight, and the Palladium during the club scene era of the late ’80s. His immersion in the heyday of club culture in NYC prompted the pursuit of his true life-long passion of DJing. With his extensive knowledge of dance music from both participation and promotion, he was able to cultivate a unique DJ sound to call his own. As the club scene era wound down and the dance music scene went underground in the early 2000s, Iman formed the party production group, Ku-Deta, which put together events stateside as well as internationally. Around the same time, he started his weekly DJ residency at SEA in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where he continues to play on Fridays and Sundays.

Ku-Deta provided a precursory template for ebb + flow music, an NYC-based production company that Iman Rizky founded with Gavin Stephenson in 2013. The underground parties of ebb + flow music have brought consistent high quality music and an undeniably contagious vibe to the dance music scene. As an ebb + flow resident, Iman’s DJ sets are laden with minimal groovy beats layered with melodic sounds that build in a cycle of high peaks and low valleys. He takes the crowd on a thrilling roller coaster ride of music that elevates the mind, moves the body, and satisfies the soul. In the summer of 2014, Iman took ebb + flow to another level with collaboration on music production with Justin Marchacos and Gavin Stephenson. The trio became Second Format and has been producing tracks with driving bass lines and catchy, danceable hooks. Justin and Second Format’s Giants EP was released on the Cityfox label and charted in the Top 10 on Beatport within its first week.

A-KINTERO [EBB + FLOW, iPM]

Guided by his passion for music, A-Kintero, always dreamed of leaving his native city of Medellin to pursue what larger cities promised. Landing in New York City, 8 years ago, he has achieved more than what he thought possible for a young artist. He has played numerous venues across Queens, Manhattan, The Hamptons and fortuitously landing recent
involvement in the rising Brooklyn scene. AK, as his close friends know him, is not only a talented DJ but a creative mind that unleashes consistent and fearless sounds that capture people’s attention. AK is a multifaceted artist, playing as part of a duo named intimate Project which ultimately co-developed into a production partnership and record label with his long time friends Andres Acevedo & Mateo Holguin, together they continue to regularly work releasing evolving productions. Releasing on labels such as Jyre Records, Monophonic Records, Yuma Label, Cloak Records, and presently intimate Project Music, AK continues his artistic journey incorporated into the ebb + flow team as he looks to bring a versatile sampling of his trademark sounds.
